Your RI Weather Today – Thurs, Feb. 19, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
And this is why weathermen take a beating. 1 degree off in lapse rate, or 1 knot off in elevated shear, and your forecast goes to…. well, you pick the expletive.
This stubborn frontal boundary will sit offshore for another day, so we can expect, but I won’t guarantee…another inch or so of snow. Low and high within a couple of degrees of the freezing mark with cloud cover through the day and a light northeasterly breeze. Winter in Rhode Island. Forecaster’s nightmare.
