Your RI Weather Today – May 17, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
High pressure slides to our south and helps keep the lower levels of the atmosphere fairly dry. There exists the chance for some mid-afternoon light passing showers popping up, but nothing organized. We’ll have plenty of sun on either side of the lightly convective cloud cover, with morning lows in the mid 50’s and afternoon highs in the mid 70’s with a southwesterly breeze turning slightly to the south in the afternoon and back to southwesterly by evening.
