Your RI Weather Today, August 8, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A squeeze play of sorts with frontal systems imposing their will on little old New England, mainly cloud cover being the fiercest of the weekend challenges as the systems encroach on us wary and rain-weary Rhodies. Morning low in the upper 60’s rise to the upper 70’s with a light southwesterly breeze on this August Sunday afternoon. We could see a widespread light shower or two in the area, and looking east in the afternoon a faint rainbow may be spotted over the distant horizon.
