Your RI Weather Today, Aug. 11, 2021 – John Donnelly
by John Donnelly, meteorologist
Summer’s not over, sports fans! Low level moisture has been skulking in under the cover of clouds these last couple of days, and when the sun shines through this week and activates it, we’ll be wringing ourselves out in buckets come Friday.
Starting today dew points will cross the 70 threshold, and the conditions will be officially sultry. Aside from this humidity, we should be precip free through most of the day, maybe a slight chance of one of the looming boomers getting past the goalie and dropping some rain over the area by nightfall.
Morning lows in the low 70’s with coastal mist, if not fog, followed by afternoon highs in the upper 80’s with a gutsy southwesterly breeze.
