To Do in RI: Slater Park Fall Festival – art, crafts, classic cars, food, Pops, fireworks, family fun
The 26th Annual Pawtucket Arts Festival presents the “Slater Park Fall Festival” Saturday, September 7th and Sunday, September 8th from 11am to 5pm – a weekend that celebrates the beauty of the park and art – and includes activities at the Daggett Farm, Looff Carousel, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society and the historic Daggett House.
Over 100 arts & craft vendors are showcased in this juried festival that also features an ‘open air market’ of food trucks, craft, exhibitions, music and kids activities featuring The Empowerment Factory, Rock-A-Baby, Ten 31 Productions and URI Master Gardeners.
On Saturday, at 5:30pm the RI Philharmonic “Pops in the Park” presents its last concert of the season, followed by a fireworks display sponsored in part by the Pawtucket Teachers Alliance and Bristol County Savings Bank, which caps off a Saturday of community spirit, performances and art. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets!
Art vendors from throughout New England will join Pawtucket artists and participate in this event which includes an extravaganza of local food truck vendors will join several participating restaurants located near the pond, offering a large menu for the patrons. Picnic tables set up near the historic Looff Carousel make for a cozy setting while enjoying the fare.
On Sunday, September 8 located near the Daggett Farm, a Classic Car Cruise, presenting the ‘last cruise of the season’ is featured free and open to the public.
