Summertime in Pawtucket: Pool, Splash Pad, Slater Park Carousel and Outing area

On Saturday, the Veterans’ Park Pool in Pawtucket opened for the summer season. The city thanked its Department of Public Works and the pool staff for working hard to open the pool, particularly with a faster start to the hot weather

The Veterans’ Park Pool is located at 100 Legion Drive in Pawtucket. Hours are:

  **  Saturday, June 29 through Sunday, August 18th

  **  Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday – 11 am – 6 pm

  **  Mon & Thurs – noon – 5 pm

  **  closures due to weather announced on the Pawtucket Parks & Recreation Facebook page – HERE.

  **  Open to the public – residents and non-residents 

  **  Admission $1 per person regardless of age (cash only)

  **  Pool has limited capacity

** Limited parking – additional parking to the rear of the Smithfield Avenue Fire Department, access by way of Grotto Avenue

  **  Picnic sites available for rent through pawtucketri.gov/parks – permit required

  **  Free lunch program provided by Aramark to those 17 years of age or younger – noon to 1 pm – FOOD MUST BE EATEN ONSITE

  **  NO FOOD IS ALLOWED INTO THE POOL AREA. – Visitors may leave the pool and return

Payne Park Splash Pad

The Splash Pad is located at 225 West Avenue in Pawtucket.

It is open NOW through September 2nd, and it is open to the public

The Splash Pad is activated by foot sensors

Hours are 8am – 8pm  

On-street parking is limited

Slater Park Carousel, Pawtucket

Open: first Saturday in April (tentative) through the last weekend in June.

Hours:
Saturdays, Sundays
11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The daily schedule will begin from the last weekend of the month through the month of August.

Birthday Parties at the Slater Park Carousel:

2 Hour Rental

Birthday parties will be offered starting the first weekend in May.

2 Party Times Available:
11:00 AM –1:00 PM

2:00 –4:00 PM

Pawtucket’s Daggett Farm Outing Area Rental

Open during the first weekend of May through the last weekend of August. 

They offer a large grassy area with 4 horse shoe pits, picnic tables, 2 BBQ grills and electricity if needed

Capacity: 1-150 people
