Statement from Engel & Volkers Oceanside: On Unity – Emilio DiSpirito
Official Statement
September 11, 2025
In a time when so many Americans are hurting from recent acts of violence across the country, our hearts break alongside those who mourn. We pray for the families and loved ones affected by the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the murder of Iryna Zarutska, the tragedy at Denver High School where three students were critically injured and the shooter took his own life, and for the countless others touched by violence and loss. On this solemn day, 9/11—a day that already carries so much pain in our nation’s history—we are reminded again how fragile life is and how deeply we need one another.
Children are left without fathers, mothers are widowed, parents are grieving, and friends and communities are shattered. As a nation, our eyes fill with tears, our hearts break, and yet our spirit is tested. The enemy seeks to divide us, but America’s story has always been one of resilience, unity, and hope.
The United States was founded on God-given principles and freedoms. When our freedom of speech, assembly, or unity is attacked, we are called to stand stronger—together. Today, let us not only remember the sorrow but also embrace the charge to be a light to one another. Hug your family tighter, visit the lonely, send a word of encouragement, and most importantly, love your neighbor. We are one people, united under the same Constitution, sharing the same right to pursue happiness and live freely.
At Engel & Völkers Oceanside, our commitment has always been to people—our advisors, staff, business affiliates, clients, and our community. We share this message with the hope that it inspires reflection and action: to pause, to care, and to spread kindness. Even the smallest act of love or support can remind us all that we are not alone, that we are stronger together, and that healing begins with each of us choosing compassion.
With prayers for peace, unity, and hope,

Emilio DiSpirito
