St. Mary’s Home putting together a village of collaboration
Collaborative efforts being coordinated with Rhode Island College, the Tri-County Community Action Agency, the Parent Support Network of Rhode Island, and the North Providence Police Department
St. Mary’s Home for Children is proud to unveil a series of strategic partnerships designed to bolster the services provided to Rhode Island’s most vulnerable community members. Collaborating with Rhode Island College, the Tri-County Community Action Agency, the Parent Support Network of Rhode Island, and the North Providence Police Department, St. Mary’s is set to expand its offerings and deepen its impact in the lives of the children it serves.
The partnership with Rhode Island College will elevate the training and development of St. Mary’s staff, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are met. This initiative is particularly significant given the recent appointment of Dr. Marianne Raimondo, Dean of the School of Business, Associate Professor, and Director of the Healthcare Administration program at Rhode Island College, to St. Mary’s Home for Children’s Board of Directors. Dr. Raimondo brings unparalleled expertise in healthcare administration and education, further enriching this partnership with Rhode Island College.
Joining forces with the Tri-County Community Action Agency, St. Mary’s will introduce mobile medical and dental services, directly addressing the critical healthcare needs within its community. This effort will significantly enhance the accessibility and quality of health services for its children.
In collaboration with the Parent Support Network of Rhode Island, St. Mary’s aims to reimagine its Youth & Parent councils, fostering an environment of support, empowerment, and engagement.
The partnership with the North Providence Police Department will focus on de-escalation training for staff and co-hosting a community event in August. These initiatives are part of St. Mary’s efforts to promote safety, understanding, and collaboration within the community it serves.
