Ron & Jen’s Great Escape, October 4, 2023 – Ron St. Pierre and Jen Brien
by Ron St. Pierre and Jen Brien, commentary
COLIN KAEPERNICK
Last week race baiter Colin Kaepernick was publicly humiliated by… HIMSELF. This man, who claims he has been oppressed, repressed, distressed by white America, white NFL owners, and white policemen and women was begging for his job back in what he calls a plantation of slave owners – the NFL.
Is this guy mentally stable? You have to wonder. This same man who said his loving parents were RACISTS because they didn’t like his hairstyle, this same man who made movies, wrote books, and has padded his bank account by demonizing America, this same man who says CAPITALISM IS EVIL (the irony), was literally begging for a job on the Jets practice squad.
I really don’t have much to say except he is an embarrassment to the black community in so many ways and walked right into his own Superbowl of hypocrisy with his shameless and really stupid letter to the Jets.
Kaepernick does not stand for equality, freedom, or social justice. He stands for himself, and himself alone. Bottom line, he’s yesterdays news and America has tired of him. So, what does he do? He decides to kneel before the so called slave owners in written form and asked to live on their plantation. Just another fraud. A total FRAUD. I always knew he was. I mean, to quote “Charlamagne tha God”…. It’s pathetic.
Till next week – Jen

INFLATION HITS THE SCOUTS
It’ll soon be Girl Scout Cookie time and some areas of the country will see a price hike. Instead of $5 bucks, you’ll have to fork over $6 beans to get the treats. Considering cookie prices have been basically stable since 2014, The Scout Council’s hoping consumers will understand inflation has hit the organization too.

DIGGIN’ THE PIE
A whopping 74% of Americans would eat pizza for any meal of the day according to a recent survey of 5,000 adults. The average person can eat 5 slices by themselves at a single sitting (that’s a bit much for us) and eats pizza three times a month. Pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and cheese are among the nation’s favorite toppings. Northeastern states tend to favor sausage over pepperoni, while Texas, Maryland, Maine, and Hawaii prefer mushrooms. Respondents say the worst toppings are avocado (yuck), eggplant, pineapple, and fried chicken (?)… at least PUMPKIN’S nowhere to be found!
ENEMA MOUNTAIN
One family is suing Walt Disney World over an “injurious wedgie” (is that worse than the dreaded ATOMIC WEDGIE George Costanza suffered?), SUFFERED BY Emma McGuinness on the Typhon Lagoon waterslide. The suit alleges Disney should have known of the painful risk of wedgies, particularly for women. They’re seeking $50,000 bucks (and I’m assuming a new bathing suit) in damages along with compensatory damages for her husband Edward’s “loss of his wife’s care, comfort, consortium, support and services” as a result of her wedgie slide. Who knew a wedgie could cause such damage to a household! Consortium? REALLY?

UNREACHABLE DREAM
This isn’t exactly a STOP THE PRESSES moment, but a recent report from real estate data provider ATOM confirms that the housing market is out of reach for almost everyone. Research shows home prices in 99% of the country studied are higher than an average wage earner brings in, which is $71,214. A house becomes “unaffordable” if someone must spend over 28% of their income on it and it says the typical home today requires 35% of someone’s annual wages.
