RI Weekend Weather Wrap-Up: Sat/Sun, May 30/31, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday 5/30/20:
Cold front passes through in the night with some light rain ending before sunrise. Clearing skies and warm southwesterly breezes behind the front will allow temperatures to climb to the 80 mark in the afternoon after bottoming out in the mid 60’s in the rain. Less muggy given the drier air behind the front, so a really nice feel to the day.
Sunday 5/31/20:

With a shift in the wind to a more northwesterly direction, dry air will settle in and help keep things a bit cooler, afternoon highs to climb to within a degree or two of 70, up from the upper 50’s in the morning. Plenty of sun today, a sure winner weatherwise.
