RI Weekend Weather Wrap – Sat/Sun, Dec 12/13, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday 12/12/20:
A cold front drops in from the northwest and delivers just about a days’ worth of rain from just before noon onward into the evening. Afternoon highs will hover in the mid 40’s and evening lows will drop to the upper 30’s after the cold front passes through. Winds will be generally light, less than 10 mph, so the rain will fall generally straight down, “or slightly to the side-like.”
Sunday 12/13/20:

The trajectory of the exiting low pressure system will drag air from the southwest, providing us with a warmer Sunday afternoon, highs expected to climb to the upper 50’s to around 60 and an evening low in the low 40’s. We’ll have a little breeze from the southwest, gusting into the mid 20’s.
