RI Weekend Weather Wrap – Oct. 10, 11 – 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday 10/10/20:
A mostly pleasant day, although winds will be up again as a cold front pushes down from the north and squeezes airflow from the southwest and west. Morning lows in the upper 50’s give way to afternoon highs in the low 70’s with gusts towards 30 mph. The front weakens as it passes through the area overnight and any rain should dry up. Maybe a few drops, nothing more.
Sunday 10/11/20:

The weakening cold front passes through as a surface trough and heads out to sea by early morning. We’ll get a sunny morning and afternoon, with cloud cover increasing later in the evening as the remnants of Hurricane Delta approaches from the southeast, first drops not hitting until well into the overnight hours. Temps start out in the high 50’s, rise to the low 60’s in the afternoon and cool quickly through the 50’s in the evening. Still a breeze shifting from northerly to northeasterly with the approach of the storm.
