RI Weather Today, Wednesday 1/29/20:
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
High pressure from the north drop in and clears away the mid-level cloud cover that has plagued us for a couple of days now. Plenty of sunshine and dry air will greet the day with a cool start, sub-freezing lows in the mid 20’s but a dry cold, so no frost expected, warming nicely to the low 40’s with continued sunny skies and dry air in place. Winds will be light as the pressure gradient loosens given the advance of the center of high pressure, so for late January, today will be a winner.
