RI Weather Today – Wed, Jan. 6, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
This extremely stubborn low pressure system that has been sitting and spinning off the southeast New England coast will finally inch further out to sea and some drying will take place during the day, breaking up some of the extensive cloud cover and generally miserable weather with the mixed annoying precipitation. We may also crack 40 for afternoon highs from morning lows toying with the freezing mark amidst a continued northwesterly breeze.
