RI Weather Today, Tuesday 1/28/20:
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Upper trough twists and slips a bit south, and we’ll see a similar day as Monday with stratocumulus cloud cover developing during the day over a light and mildly gusty northwesterly breeze. Maybe a stray flurry or two in the higher elevations, a widely scattered drop or two of rain elsewhere, but only enough of a chance to warrant a mention here. Still a decent day, given the time of year. Afternoon highs will still be above normal , reaching the low 40’s at peak heating, up from a morning low around freezing. Some cooler spots in the countryside may be cool enough for frosty windshields.
