RI Weather Today, Thursday 4/23/20
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Decent yet cool weather for the day, with increasing cloud cover in advance of the next weather maker and some showers expected before the stroke of midnight O’clock Friday.
Morning lows will hover within a degree of the freezing mark, and slowly warm to the low 50’s as the clouds hold back some of the warmth and eventually put a stop to it. Westerly breezes will be up again as a fairly intense low pressure system will be developing over the Tennessee valley during the day and throwing moisture northeastward that will eventually roll over a frontal boundary triggering the late evening light rain we’re expecting.
