RI Weather Today – Sept. 10, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Low pressure rolls up through the mid Atlantic states and skims along Block Island Sound triggering light to moderate rain showers during the afternoon, after a generally misty morning with patchy dense fog here and there. A cold front will press down from the northwest and squeegee away the low level moisture and the last bout of rain overnight into early Friday morning, leaving behind some significantly dryer air. Expect a tight temperature range with lows around 70 and highs in the upper 70’s with a light and wet southerly wind.
