RI Weather Today, Monday 12/9/19
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
An all-day rainy Monday.
After a midnight low in the mid 30’s, temps and cloud cover will be increasing through the night on southerly breezes that will get quite gusty by early evening. Rain will start sometime around the non-sunrise time of 7:02am as a warm front approaches from the mid-Atlantic and brings lots of moisture and unusual warmth. Highs in the mid to upper 50’s would be thoroughly enjoyed if not for the rain. There is a small chance for an embedded thunderstorm in the mix during midday, so don’t be shocked to hear some thunder rolling through the dense cloud cover.
