RI Weather Today, June 11, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Humidity is on the rise in the warm sector in between fronts, southwesterly breezes drawing in warm moist air from the southwest. The cold front that will be advancing from the west will trigger a line of showers and thunderstorms that will come through during the afternoon, best guess between 5 and 7 pm. Some drizzle and light fog particularly along the coast may linger into the evening before the cold front passes through in the night. Morning lows in the mid 60’s rise to the upper 70’s before cloud cover helps limit rising temperatures. Southwesterly breeze 10-15 mph generally, but some wind gusts may approach
