RI Weather Today – July 27, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Heat wave continues with some of the hottest air of the year as temps in the afternoon try to overachieve and climb to the upper 90’s! Not a lot of cloud cover to hide behind either as high pressure keeps the air from rising enough to generate cumulus development. Morning lows in the mid 70’s with dew points in the mid 60’s means no morning mist generally across the area. We’ll get a decent gust to move the air around from time to time during the day.
