RI Weather Today, Friday 5/15/20
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Our warm front passes in the night with some showers ending by 8am. We’ll clear out some of the clouds through the midday hours before the next part of the system rolls through, a cold front dropping in from the northwest, which is a good direction for us to get some active and exciting weather in the form of thunderstorms with vivid lightning. Expect some of this action beginning after 8pm. With the generally south-southwesterly flow ahead of the front, we’ll have lots of warm air inflow, afternoon highs into the mid 70’s, up from morning lows around the 50 mark.
