RI Weather Today, Friday 5/1/20
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist An occluded frontal system rolls through overnight and finishes up by late morning after dropping about an inch of rain over the area. Cloud cover will begin to thin somewhat but sunshine will be hard pressed to get through. Southerly winds will draw in some warm air however, so afternoon temperatures will be quite pleasant in the low to mid 60’s up from the mid 50’s in the wet morning. There’s a chance for a leftover passing shower in the evening, but passing is the key word here, nothing to close up shop on any outdoor/backyard activities
