RI Fish and Game Protective Assoc scholarship awards
by Jeff Gross, contributing feature writer
Each year the Rhode Island Fish and Game Protective Association awards two scholarships to Rhode Island students. The requirements for the award is showing an interest in conservation, Fish and Wildlife, or other environmental issues.
Past recipients showed excellent credentials in the environmental fields. This years award winners are no different.
Taya Clements showed a high interest in environmental clean ups and as well pursuing a degree in Marine Biology.
Ryan Lagasse made a significant number of environmental contributions over the last few years and as a result has a very impressive resume to show for his hard work.
Both students – from Exeter West Greenwich High School – showed impressive academic achievement in their grades, making the awards an easy choice.
RIFGPA is proud to award these fine outstanding adults their scholarships and we look forward to their accomplishments in the future as well.
Who knows: Maybe one or both students will engineer a device that protects Bald Eagles and other Raptors from wind turbines.
Please Go out of your way to acknowledge both students for their achievements as both are outstanding members of society.
