Rhode Island Weekend Weather Wrap – Feb. 11/12, 2023 – John Donnelly
by John Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday 2/11/23:
We’ll have a cooler day than yesterday’s record breaker, afternoon highs in the low 40’s and evening lows in the low 30’s, both within normal range. Northwesterly breezes gust towards 25 mph under a mostly clear sky.
Sunday 2/12/23:

Cloud cover builds in well ahead of low pressure developing over the southeastern US. We should stay rain free for the day and most of the night, maybe an overnight sprinkle. Morning lows in the low 30’s rise to the upper 40’s with a light southwesterly breeze.

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards, not away from, thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena. He returned in 2001 to the old family neighborhood of Elmhurst.
