by John Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday 6/17/23:
Low pressure hangs around and spins in place over southeastern New England, with occasional showers likely off and on through the day with some filtered sun possible. A cool afternoon high in the upper 60’s with morning and evening lows around 60 and a light breeze generally out of the North.
It’s a “C” day!

Father’s Day 6/18/23:

Low pressure makes some progress to the east, taking the bulk of the shower activity with it, leaving us with a better day, more in the way of sunshine after some lingering morning showers. Morning lows in the upper 50’s warm to an afternoon high around 70 with a light northwesterly breeze.
It’s a “B” day!

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards, not away from, thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena.
