Rhode Island Weekend Weather, Jan. 27/28, 2024 – John Donnelly
by John Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday 1/27/24:
High pressure at the surface, but a low pressure area developing over the southern US looms, and will take over on Sunday. But for Saturday, we may even see some broken sunshine during the midday before the cloud cover rolls in. Highs in the upper 30’s and lows in the low 30’s with a light northerly breeze.
It’s a “C” day!
Sunday 1/28/24:
Low pressure arrives with rain for the most part, again……with some mixed rain and snow perhaps in the northwest highlands, maybe an inch or two in the usual areas, like Foster/Gloucester. Mid 30’s for highs and low 30’s for lows with a gusty northeasterly breeze.
It’s a “D” day!
