Rhode Island Weekend Weather for Aug. 19/20, 2023 – John Donnelly

Saturday 8/19/23:
Cold front well out to sea with a clear and dry morning giving way to midday elevated cloud cover resulting from an upper disturbance passing through the area. Morning lows in the dry upper 50’s with afternoon highs in the low to mid 70’s and a westerly breeze.
It’s an “A-” day!
Sunday 8/20/23:

A mostly clear day with afternoon highs expected to reach the low 80’s after morning lows around 60 with a light westerly breeze.
It’s an “A” day!

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards, not away from, thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena.
