Rhode Island Weekend Weather for April 22/23, 2023 – John Donnelly

Saturday 4/22/23:
Increasing cloud cover through the day ahed of an approaching cold front. Morning lows in the mid 40’s rise to the mid 50’s with a southeasterly breeze. Light rain begins around midnight and continues through the night.
Sunday 4/23/23:

Light rain continues through mid afternoon with the slow moving cold front. Winds still out of the southeast gusting to 25 mph with afternoon highs in the mid 50’s and evening lows in the upper 40’s. Cold front finally passes in the evening as winds turn to northwesterly and cloud cover breaks up.

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards, not away from, thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena. He returned in 2001 to the old family neighborhood of Elmhurst.
