Rhode Island Weather for March 17, 2026
Morning: Conditions start cool and cloudy – and windy – with temperatures in the upper 30s to around 40°F shortly after sunrise. There may be some patchy lingering showers or drizzle early on, though the heaviest precipitation from overnight should taper off; winds remain breezy from the west or northwest, making it feel colder, around the mid-30s°F wind chill.
Afternoon: Temperatures rise modestly to a high near 43–48°F under mostly cloudy skies, with periods of light rain or showers possible. Winds shift and ease somewhat but stay noticeable at 10–20 mph, contributing to a raw feel despite the slight warming.
Evening: Cooling quickly back into the upper 30s to low 40s°F as skies remain cloudy with a low chance of isolated light showers. Winds diminish further, but the damp air keeps it feeling brisk heading into the night.
It’s a “C” Day!
