Rhode Island Weather for July 17, 2024 – Jack Donnelly
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Another scorcher, highs in the low 90’s, lows in the sultry low 70’s… (the night was sultry…). I know, I know, last thing you want to hear, but I wish I could tell you something different. We may get a slight respite after today, though, as a weak cold front will try to pass through the area and allow for a wind shift to a drier direction.
In the meantime, stay in the AC if you can, and think of Fall, which will be here soon enough. The storms associated with the approaching weak front will fizzle again as always with a southwesterly flow regime, unless you are up in the northwestern fringe of the state.
It’s a “C” day!
