Rhode Island Weather for July 16, 2024 – Jack Donnelly
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
We’ll make it an official heat wave today with afternoon highs heading toward the mid 90’s with continued obnoxious humidity. A breeze will once again blow from the southwest, gusting towards 30 mph, so at least the air won’t be stagnant. High of 95 and a low in the low 70’s. Some storms will be racing across New York state in the afternoon, and they will in all likelihood fizzle by the time the energy gets here, killed by the stabilizing marine influence off of the southwesterly flow.
It’s a “C” day!
