Rhode Island Weather for January 9, 2026 – a “C-” Day!
The day starts unsettled with a rain/snow mix possible during the morning, especially inland, as temperatures hover near the freezing mark.
By midday and afternoon, precipitation should transition to plain rain statewide, with cloudy skies and damp conditions continuing through much of the day.
Evening brings gradual improvement as showers taper off and skies slowly begin to dry out, though it remains cloudy and cool.
Overall Grade: C- — a wet, gloomy winter day, with messy conditions early and limited improvement until late.
