Rhode Island Weather for Feb. 20, 2025 – Jack Donnelly
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A well-formed Hatteras Low pressure system sweeps towards the NEUS but passes without significant incident to our south, basically a swing and an unfortunate miss for Jack Frost. Another kink in the upper level flow to our west triggers some evening snow shower development and delivers a whopping dusting of white before midnight.
Frigid morning lows in the low teens and highs make a pathetically feeble attempt at reaching the freezing mark in the early afternoon. Winds die down to a respectable value around 10 mph out of the north.
I was born at night, and well, yes, last night!
It’s a “C+” day!
