Rhode Island Weather for December 1, 2025 – a “B” Day
Morning – Expect a brisk start, with overnight cooling bringing temps into the upper 20s °F (~28–30 °F) before sunrise. Skies likely clear to partly cloudy, with crisp air and a classic early-winter feel.
Afternoon –Temps rebound a bit under bright sunshine, with highs around 40–44 °F. It’ll feel chilly but tolerable — a decent window for errands, light outdoor time or holiday prep.
Evening – As the sun sets, expect clear skies and a chill return to the upper 20s to low 30s °F (~28–32 °F). The air will feel crisp and still — dry, but cold, especially if wind picks up.
A cold but calm December day: bonus points for sunshine and no rain, but the low temps make it more “brisk” than “comfortable.”
It’s a “B” Day!
Looking Ahead: Snow Possible Later This Week
-
Some forecasts now show a potential winter system Tuesday–Wednesday, which could bring snow or rain/snow mix to parts of Rhode Island, especially inland and higher elevations.
-
This could mark the first measurable snow of the season — though it remains uncertain (track, timing, and temperature will be key). It’s enough to watch closely if you have travel or errands midweek.
