Reimagining Providence Public Schools – 45 member Design Team Chosen

Providence has been moving towards the appointment of a Design Team and has now announced its 45 members chosen for the task. A new website – www.4PVDKids has been established.

Their goals included engaging with parents, educators, students, community members and experts to develop a vision for the future of Providence schools.

A 100-day process, beginning in December, will convene with Community Design Teams. These community-nominated and community-led teams will help create a new plan for Providence Public Schools.

The Community Design Teams will focus their work on the three priorities the Commissioner identified in her vision for education in Rhode Island. These priorities are: World-Class Talent, Excellence in Learning, and Engaged Communities.
