Out of the abyss – Michael Morse
by Michael Morse, contributing writer
Doing nothing as our country drowns in debt, our people stagnate in a service economy that creates wealth for investors rather than workers, filling our homes with foreign-manufactured throw away items, eating food processed in factories and watching what little we have saved be devoured by energy costs as our fields are filled with solar panels and our coastline littered with giant turbines as our environment is destroyed and wildlife slaughtered by green energy mandates that are unobtainable making entrepreneurs pursue their vision in China, Vietnam, Thailand and anywhere people are desperate for work – any work and are not bogged down with regulations and pesky climate change virtue signaling will be the end of The United States of America.
Business as usual is the battle cry from the very powerful critics of the Trump Administration. Keep the bloated federal bureaucracy. Continue factory farming. Keep eating harmful chemicals, taking over-prescribed pharmaceuticals, gaining weight and sinking further into depression as the society we allowed to be created turns on each other as envy replaces innovation, greed becomes more natural than charity and everybody believes everybody else has it made.
I know nothing about international trade, tariffs, greenhouse gasses, economics, immigration, Ukraine, Palestine or the difficulties of governing over 330,000,000 people. But I do know that doing nothing but what we have been doing isn’t working.
I endorsed Trump, Vance and Kennedy because I believe that what we needed most wasn’t a Democrat or Republican party. What we need is a system reset, and people willing to disrupt the status quo.
Disruption isn’t a bad thing when the alternative is the abyss.
Image of my flag waving in my front yard, above. It’s a little tattered on the edges after the long, harsh winter. I have a new one, waiting.
