Out & About in RI: Pawtucket Hall of Fame Celebrates Inspiring 2025 Inductees
More than 240 guests filled the historic Pawtucket Armory on Friday, November 7, for the 2025 Pawtucket Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony—an evening filled with pride, gratitude, and heartfelt recognition. The annual celebration, catered by Pranzi and warmly guided by Master of Ceremonies Barbara Morse of NBC10, honored six distinguished individuals whose achievements have enriched the community and elevated Pawtucket’s reputation statewide and beyond.
This year’s inductees included Daniel J. Sullivan Jr., a visionary business leader and philanthropist; the late Gretchen Dow Simpson, internationally acclaimed painter; Donald L. Stanford, respected business and education leader; Bob Venturini, beloved broadcaster and community advocate; and the late Jacqueline M. Walsh, passionate educator and namesake of the city’s arts high school. The ceremony also recognized historical inductee James C. Potter and presented the 2025 Person of the Year Award to Dr. Rosemary Costigan, president of the Community College of Rhode Island.
The event’s success was made possible by exceptional community support. The 74-page commemorative program book featured an impressive 110 sponsors—local businesses, organizations, and families—whose generosity helped underwrite the celebration.
“In our 33rd year, we continue to honor individuals whose contributions have made Pawtucket a better, stronger community,” said PHOF Chair Patricia S. Zacks. “Their stories remind us of the power of service, creativity, and dedication.”
With nearly 50 photos capturing the evening’s highlights, the 2025 Pawtucket Hall of Fame celebration stands as a testament to a city that proudly honors those who give so much to its heritage and future.
