Out & About in RI: One hundred 50-90 year olds are RI Senior Games athletes. Cornhole this week
Almost 100 athletes, aged 50-90, from almost a dozen states across the USA … including from every New England state, gave their all in our running, jumping, and throwing events on September 6th at Conley Stadium in Providence, RI.
“Everyone was thrilled with our event, particularly the first-timers” said Jane Headley, Meet Director. “Our wonderful volunteers always make it a memorable day for all our competitors. And the venue is always in tip-top shape with 3 throwing circles, a new synthetic track, multiple jumping pits, a Concession stand serving food and drinks, and convenient parking” continued Headley. David Belhumeur, RISG board member who assisted Jane noted “Everyone had so much fun, especially when taking pictures with our chicken … our Rhode Island Red!”
But, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words … so click on this link to see how much fun everyone had!
