Lots of laughs at Factory Paint Bar and Lounge – Brendan Higgins
By Brendan Higgins, contributing writer
An impressive line-up of comedians took the stage Saturday night at the Factory Paint Bar and Lounge in West Warwick. The show was entertaining from open to close.
The talented Elaine Pelino hosted this event featuring some of the top talent from the world of comedy, including Mike Murray of Johnston. Mike had the crowd in stitches with his unique brand of humor. He also has a very unique and effective fundraising organization called FUNNY4FUNDS. They have helped countless groups raise money in an effective way. You can learn more about a comedy night fundraiser at funny4funds.com.
Another Rhode Islander appearing Saturday night was a member of the Rhode Island Comedy Hall of Fame, the iconic Charlie Hall. He really entertained the crowd with an impromptu roast of Boxer Vinny Paz who was in the crowd. Hall is a veteran performer who also produces the Ocean State Follies.
Rounding out the evening were Stephen Bjork and Aimee Schwab who were also very entertaining and funny. The headliner for the evening was John Perrotta. He has a way of involving the audience into his act but never offends anyone. I have seen John perform in the past. He is the definition of a professional.
These local comedy shows are taking place all over the state. They provide a night of dinner and entertainment at an affordable price. Booker John Perrotta is a retired correctional officer and long-time comedian who has performed all over the country.
His next show will be Thursday, December 15, at Lemongrass Asian Bistro in Warwick. Tickets are $45 and include an all you can eat buffet. The doors open at 5:30 pm. This event will feature singer Steven Palumbo and an All-Star comedy show. All you can eat – and all you can laugh.
