It is what it is: March 11, 2026 Commentary with Jen Brien

What is it about people these days? I look around and honestly think to myself , “I’m literally surrounded by mental patients”. There used to be a time when we would see CRAZY STORIES in the checkout isle at Almacs as we waited to pay for our groceries and peeked at the “STAR” or “ENQUIRER”. If you were really adventurous, you’d pick up the “WEEKLY WORLD NEWS” and most likely laugh out loud at some nutty headlines… but these days those wacky headlines are coming to life and are in mainstream news EVERY SINGLE DAY.  EVERYDAY.

People I’ve interviewed on my podcast, “SPLITTIN THE ATOM” have said chalk it up to the COVID vaccination that deteriorated the prefrontal cortex. Some guests have pondered whether it’s due to smoking weed (which is legal practically EVERYWHERE now and is way stronger than it was when I was growing up in the 80’s) and some guests have claimed it’s all the 5G towers frying people’s brains. I don’t know if any of it is true or ALL OF IT is true but, something is happening – and it’s not good.

As a political watcher (I’m not a journalist – I don’t report the news, I comment on it) one could also say all the WOKE insanity and the Internet in general is also some of the reason for such psychotic behavior these days.

What I do know for sure in all of it is, we are a deteriorating species incapable of emotional regulation and lack self-control on levels never seen since the dawn of man. Seriously. Why are people melting down and ripping a cash register off of a counter and flinging it at a checkout girl because their coffee tastes lousy? Why are people pointing 9 mm’s out the window of cars because someone squeezed into their lane so they can get off the next exit and why…. please, please, please explain to me why people simply won’t comply when AUTHORITIES pull them over for minor traffic violations and instead start recording on their phones as though they are being victimized when asked for license and registration.

Don’t lay the profiling bull$hit on me. Enough. If you have blacked out windows expect to be stopped for rolling through a stop sign. If you’re going 100 MPH on 95 THAT’S your fault. Not a cop who is out there writing tickets and trying to keep people safe. That’s what they do.

People in society, especially anyone under 40, have got to learn how NOT to be adult babies always ready to fight. Always ready to blame shift. Miserable in their lives and hating on everyone who has succeeded calling it “privilege” or “racism” yet lack the self-discipline and work ethic to do what the successful have done to achieve their goals. Wishing doesn’t make it so and if you’re a lazy, irresponsible, undisciplined human that doesn’t make you a victim. It makes you a lazy, irresponsible, undisciplined human who still lives in their mother’s basement with zero life goals. No matter how many of the crazy people in your “safe space” (the online chatroom you race to daily) who affirms your victim status… at the end of the day you’re still laying your head with your blue hair and nose ring on that pillow in your momma’s basement, high and angry at the world because you’re where YOU are at in life.

Try achieving more than responding to an email about a paid protest supporting a diabolical dictator who America has finally dealt with. Otherwise, you’ll wake up at 50, still in your mother’s basement waiting for your ship to come in while you froth at the mouth because you were mis-gendered at a local yogurt stand.

How pathetic.

STOP EXPECTING HELP FROM EVERYONE. DO IT YOURSELF.

ACCEPT THAT LIFE IS UNFAIR

STOP TAKING EVERYTHING PERSONALLY

THINK FOR YOURSELF

FOCUS ON SOLUTIONS NOT PROBLEMS

DON’T FEEL THE WORLD OWES YOU

DON’T EXPECT IMMEDIATE RESULTS

DO NOT DWELL ON THE PAST

DON’T GIVE UP AFTER FAILURE

DON’T WASTE ENERGY ON THINGS YOU CANNOT CONTROL

STOP THE VICTIM MENTALITY.

CHARLIE KIRK 

“There’s no death certificate. There’s no ballistics report. There was no crime scene investigation. There were no paramedics. There were no police swarming it right after. There was a plane that left 30 min right after, that was 20 minutes away from the venue. There was a funeral held 11 days after in a stadium that was or wasn’t booked 4 months before. That was booked in 11 days and put together with pyrotechnics and WWE style showmanship. You have a shooter that left the screwdriver on the roof… changed three times or two times and left the rifle… assembled the rifle and disassembled the rifle in six seconds then they found the rifle on PALLETIER PROPERTY… somehow, he reassembled the rifle without the screwdriver that he left on the thing… just you know… ALL OF IT. NONE OF IT makes sense.”

BTW – the shooter’s father owned a construction company called “PRECISION GRANITE and MARBLE LLC” (has since closed) that does exactly the kind of work that was done at the Charlie Kirk crime scene that was oddly paved over 5 days after his murder. The school has yet to release information on who did the makeover so quickly and why. The contractor remains “undisclosed”.
