WHITE MAN’S BURDEN

Have you ever heard of this film – “WHITE MAN’S BURDEN”? It starred John Travolta, was a flop at the BOX OFFICE, but was super provocative at the time of its release. The film came out in 1995 and was extraordinary because it flipped the script and placed “the majority of black America in gated communities while impoverished Caucasians populated crime ridden inner city ghettos”. It was a ballsy movie given all the unrest between races.

It was the 90’s after all… the beating of Rodney King, the initial acquittal of the 4 white cops involved and the O.J. TRIAL FUELED MAJOR unrest. I actually own this film because I felt it was so important at the time though I had no idea why. As the years have passed and as I’ve gotten older, I finally have an answer to a question that was burning a hole through my cranium as the decades marched on. The question was simply “would the black community be righteous and upstanding if they were not a minority and had the power”. Basically, would they have done things differently all those years ago if whites were enslaved rather than blacks in the 1800’s and WHITES suffered through a civil rights movement? I truly wondered about this and wondered and wondered…

I finally have my answer, it’s disturbing AND it came while I was watching the news. I want to be careful here not to paint ALL BLACK PEOPLE with a broad brush, but it’s safe to say many, many black people feel the way a  black CNN commentator felt when she said (and literally exclaimed live on air) that she was pissed off and blown away TRUMP would rescue white South African farmers and grant and expedite “refugee status” to them (bringing them to AMERICA) after they claimed they were fleeing their homeland out of sadistic persecution. HOW COULD ANYONE WHO CLAIMS TO BE ON THE SIDE OF “THE GOOD GUYS” ACTUALLY OPPOSE THIS?

These people cannot be rescued from being skinned alive or nailed to tables and gang raped while loved ones watched and were tortured simultaneously?  That’s right… because according to CNN AND MSNBC THEY ARE WHITE and therefore inferior by default and don’t deserve “refugee status”. I have read many many horrid and insane stories about the murders of white farmers AND their families in South AFRICA and trust me when I tell you… it’s MUCH WORSE than the little I just shared.

I wept once after reading about it and I immediately began to pray. That’s how insane the violence is over there. What I concluded, was that the human condition is so perverted, sinful and dark at times that in the end skin color doesn’t make a difference. We all have the same things in us because we are all human. How can I say such a thing? Simple. Look around. Varying degrees of HATE AND insanity are currently accepted, tolerated and promoted right now.

Just look at the ANTI SEMITISM MOVEMENT. HATE has become a noble attribute… the suffering of others is celebrated and justified… and persecution that is savage and ruthless is simply “just the way it is”. In the end… the easy way to say it is… the darkness in people is consistent regardless if it’s White, Muslim, Black, Asian, GAY , TRANS, MALE , FEMALE,  ETC, ETC…

White America hasn’t cornered the market in racism and hate. It’s EVERYWHERE and IN EVERYTHING. No matter how hard they gaslight YOU into thinking only whites are the problem… It simply ain’t true. WHAT is true is what the BIBLE SAYS about the human heart…
