TARIFFS
Can we all stop and admit one thing here gang – most of you have no idea how complicated the economy is and how it all works. (No offense, btw… I STRUGGLE MYSELF with it ALL). The world really is a giant “CORPORATION” intricately woven together to create what’s supposed to be a well-oiled financial machine. Thing is, it hasn’t been that way for a long time and AMERICA has essentially been getting screwed by a lot of countries. That’s the short version. I don’t know how else to say it. It’s not sexy and slightly crude but it’s the truth.
TRUMP is trying to FIX THAT. Change is always scary, uncomfortable and our 401k’s are taking a beating, but continuing on the path we were on was driving us right into a concrete wall, fiscally. If you don’t understand any of it and really just HATE TRUMP, and simply want to whine, protest and key your liberal neighbors Tesla… YOU SHOULD KNOW… long before TRUMP CAME ALONG BARACK OBAMA and NANCY PELOSI were fighting FOR TARIFFS, just like what TRUMP is ACTUALLY doing now. I know that’s tough on the delusional who hate reality… but that’s fact right there. PURE FACT. I believe in the end it will all work out for the good. Hang in there.
P.S In the meantime… go eat a cheap egg… it’ll make you feel better!

ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY
Gang, I don’t know if you’ve noticed the dizzying pace of what I’m about to point out, but everywhere you turn in all of this madness that is the world, people (mostly young people) are claiming they’re doing crazy $hi! or behaving really badly out there because someone pushed them to SAY IT, DO IT, STEAL IT… LIE, CHEAT, RANT, DESTROY, PROTEST, BULLY, KILL, BLOWUP, LIGHT ON FIRE, and RIOT. Have you noticed this?
Everyone is blaming something or someone else for their sick or crazy behavior these days. True, sometimes we find ourselves in pickles because someone has crossed a boundary or has done something egregious to us that warrants a response, but having a gun pointed at you because you changed lanes without a blinker… or saying something someone may not like hardly justifies being lit on fire on the NYC subway.
As someone who has been part of the news landscape for many years and checks out the happenings in the world daily, I have never seen such constant insanity in the news cycles regarding YOUNG PEOPLE, and it simply comes down to one MAIN THING – really bad PARENTS. That’s it. I can’t tell you the number of times I see stories about a mom going to her kid’s school blaming EVERYONE else for her child’s discipline issues… or read about some young adult who killed his neighbor because the neighbor’s dog pissed on his lawn and the mother’s response when interviewed by a TV station is “YOU CAN’T BLAME HIM… he was provoked AND “HE’S A REALLY NICE BOY”… or the class bully WHO finally gets his comeuppance like SCOTT FARKUS in “A CHRISTMAS STORY” and the father goes to the school saying he’s SUING EVERYONE and EVERYTHING THAT moves. THAT PARENT right there – is the genesis of the problem.
Now… on MSNBC they’ll have on guest after guest talking about this injustice, or that system failure… or the deep-rooted inequity of life in general while using REALLY BIG words and asinine data to make some stupid point that sounds reasonable. PLEASE… spare us all. It’s lousy parenting… and it’s an epidemic. Ya sure there are those cases where the parents DID EVERYTHING RIGHT and their kid turned out to be a serial killer… that’s an anomaly and YOU know that, so don’t try and lay that on me in an email. BAD PARENTING or a “HANDS OFF” approach (letting the kid do WHATEVER THEY WANT) is turning kids into really horrible and gross adult people… and it makes me sick to my stomach. Just my 3 cents on THAT this week folks… it’s really been bothering me for a while… REALLY bothering me.

Prayer. All assets that helped make a family function together, as well as in society at large.
Once upon a time kids learned these virtues at home, had them further substantiated at the homes of their neighbors, friends, and relatives, as well as at school and church.
Remember “All I Really Needed to Know I learned in Kindergarten”?
The splintering of families necessitated by today’s society seems to be responsible in many ways for this disintegration of many modern families.
Once upon a time we Americans believed our Government was doing the right thing for all of us. We, the citizens of the Greatest Country believed our leaders were acting in OUR best interests. For too long they have shown us that’s not true, as those in charge ‘filled their own pockets’ at the expense of their constituents.
We can only hope and pray for resolution.
I believe the current administration is capable of performing such a miracle. I’m nearly 90 and believe America is finally heading in the right direction. But the leadership has been in office for only a few short months.
If the anti-Trumpers can ‘hang in there’, give our newly elected Management Team some space, go back to those virtues we learned (or should have) back in Kindergarten. I expect we’ll all be rewarded.

I agree! There’s no one home watching Johnnie make his pipe bombs, checking his internet searches for explosives, or reading his social media leaving HUGE clues that Johnnie is in fact going Off the Reservation and SOON!
No one home minding the nest. Even animals don’t BOTH leave their nest of babies unattended and for good reason. There’s always another bigger animal waiting for a easy meal.
Great comments once again. Tariff: Besides being a source of revenue, import duties can also be a form of regulation of foreign trade and policy that burden foreign products to encourage or safeguard domestic industry. For the lunitic left for their information. Ask them what it is.

I have always said – (I understand WHY I really really do) the start of deteriorating families, weirdness becoming acceptable in schools etc started when the women/mothers went to work and were not ‘stay at home moms’ anymore. After school, daycare etc is not a mother’s care. Sorry I know 99% of the folks who read this are making dolls in my image and just bought a year supply of pins. However being 75 years old and having 2 parents one of whom was always with her kids etc and having friends with similar backgrounds and seeing the change up close provides me with the evidence I need. Not 100% but 98% in my opinion.
I sort of agree with you about tariffs but living with my 401 seizures is a little worrisome.
