In the Arena – Lisa Baldelli-Hunt and Joe Paolino, Jr.
Each week Joe Paolino, Jr. interviews leaders and politicians in Rhode Island to provide us with more information on topics of interest. As the elections approach, Paolino talks this week with Lisa Baldelli-Hunt, who has served as Mayor of Woonsocket for several years until a few weeks ago when the City Council took a vote to dismiss her, referencing an obscure clause in the Woonsocket City Charter.
Baldelli-Hunt will be on the ballot for election as Mayor this November. Here is their interview:

It is to the City’s embarrassment that she (Lisa) lied under oath, violated the city charter, and still continues to believe she ‘did nothing wrong’. Even the RI Superior Court dismissed all of her contentions.
Mayor Gendron got the Police paid on his 1st day, and got them their ARPA funded bonuses within a week.
All while the former Mayor (Lisa) continues to cry foul saying everyone was against her. She is funding seven candidates for City Council in an effort to have complete puppet control of the city workings.
It is time to have a hired City Manager that is qualified to manage the city’s business properly.
She said in the spring that paving crews would be out all summer, one road in the entire city has been done since, she’s not a mayor that gets important things done..(edit)
