Gimme’ Shelter – Ramona at Providence Animal Control Center
Ramona’s adjectives are: Friendly, Gentle, Playful, and Smart! She is an American Staffordshire Terrier mix.
I’m Ramona and I came to PAC as a stray … no one claimed me. I am a middle aged gal, out of the puppy phase, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to have fun!
I can get jumpy, even at 5 years old so, older/sturdy kiddos for me please. I am so smart and a quick study, I would love to go on walks and hikes with you. I was just spayed and I am about 51 lbs. and I have about medium energy – Just perfect!

If you can see me, I am still available! No phone calls please, everything is done online and we do need an application submitted and approved before scheduling a visit. We differ from other shelters by offering a one on one experience between you, our staff and the animal or animals you’ve chosen to become a new family member!

About the Providence Animal Control Division

The Providence Animal Control Division protects the health and safety of our residents and their pets with progressive leadership and education, and continues to engage the hearts and minds of the community to help all animals.
As of November 2015, the Animal Control Division has adopted a “low risk euthanasia” philosophy of healthy adoptable animals and will continue to improve the live release rate of shelter animals via adoptions, returning strays to their owners, transferring animals to rescues, TNR, programs/services and treating medical cases. We believe that with progressive programs, we can have a more humane City. Through our Gimme Shelter program, PAC is spaying and neutering owned and feral cats for Providence residents. To participate please send a message through our Facebook page at Providence Animal Care Center.
