Gimme’ Shelter – Pickles at Providence Animal Control Center

Hey! I’m Pickles! I am a young guy who is sweet and social and playful, plus I make a lot of silly faces.

I was found as a stray, but as you know, there aren’t packs of stray dogs in Providence, that would be silly. We all had a home – once.

Thankfully, I was well socialized. Like any young guy, getting me back into a home is very important! I can live with other dogs! I have no history with kiddos that PAC knows of, but since I am so well behaved, I could meet and possibly live with kiddos. I am ready for butt scratches and free sits in my new home!

If you can see me, I am still available! We prefer everything regarding adoption be done via email, this way we can answer any time or day! We differ from other shelters by offering a one-on-one experience between you, our staff and the animal or animals you’ve chosen to become a new family member! About the Providence Animal Control Division

The Providence Animal Control Division protects the health and safety of our residents and their pets with progressive leadership and education, and continues to engage the hearts and minds of the community to help all animals.

As of November 2015, the Animal Control Division has adopted a “low risk euthanasia” philosophy of healthy adoptable animals and will continue to improve the live release rate of shelter animals via adoptions, returning strays to their owners, transferring animals to rescues, TNR, programs/services and treating medical cases. We believe that with progressive programs, we can have a more humane City. Through our Gimme Shelter program, PAC is spaying and neutering owned and feral cats for Providence residents.
