Gimme’ Shelter – Noodle at the Providence Animal Control Center

Hello, hello! It’s me the small fry who was rescued from the sewer drain, I almost drowned and I was so wet and cold! I was so scared but I was dried off and a heater was put in front of me and now I feel 100% better.

I am a total love and I am just so grateful to be here! I am as easy peasy as they come, I am playful and I like to lay on laps. I am 8 to 10 months old! I can live with other cats – but no big dogs please, I was likely fleeing from one when I tried to hide in the sewer, yikes!

The Providence Animal Control Division protects the health and safety of our residents and their pets with progressive leadership and education, and continues to engage the hearts and minds of the community to help all animals.

As of November 2015, the Animal Control Division has adopted a “low risk euthanasia” philosophy of healthy adoptable animals and will continue to improve the live release rate of shelter animals via adoptions, returning strays to their owners, transferring animals to rescues, TNR, programs/services and treating medical cases. We believe that with progressive programs, we can have a more humane City. Through our Gimme Shelter program, PAC is spaying and neutering owned and feral cats for Providence residents.
