Gimme’ Shelter – Meet Toonses at Providence Animal Control
Hi guys! I am a goofy 5 year old boy who was surrendered to PAC when my people couldn’t take of me, I was not my best self 🙁 I was not neutered, had HUGE jowls and, the worst part was that I was suffering from severe entropion in the corner of one of my eyes. As you can see, I am feeling A LOT better and I am just now getting to know myself in a pain-free life!
Staff are getting to know me too. I could be found rolling over on my bed making air muffins and purring, I hadn’t done that in a while! Boy that was a great Saturday night! I would do best in a home that will allow me to keep finding my best self! Everything seems so new! I might also like to live with other big hammy cats like myself. Enjoy these cheeks while that last! They will be deflating soon!
About the Providence Animal Control Division
The Providence Animal Control Division protects the health and safety of our residents and their pets with progressive leadership and education, and continues to engage the hearts and minds of the community to help all animals.
As of November 2015, the Animal Control Division has adopted a “low risk euthanasia” philosophy of healthy adoptable animals and will continue to improve the live release rate of shelter animals via adoptions, returning strays to their owners, transferring animals to rescues, TNR, programs/services and treating medical cases. We believe that with progressive programs, we can have a more humane City. Through our Gimme Shelter program, PAC is spaying and neutering owned and feral cats for Providence residents. To participate please send a message through our Facebook page at Providence Animal Care Center.
