Gimme’ Shelter: Hunter Blue at the Providence Animal Control Center

Hello! I’m Hunter Blue! I was with one family for most of my puppy-hood, then I was left behind and the person who took me in couldn’t take care of me.

Don’t feel sad for me, there was a lot of effort put into my care; I had puppy vaccines, regular vaccines and checkups, I have a whole folder dedicated to just me!

I am only one year old and I am on the smaller side of medium, I am super playful and would benefit from living with another dog I can learn from. I am a Husky through and through so I will need exercise and grooming, I could use some training and someone who understands the song of my people!

I am a great boy! Please send an email to meet me! I have lived with another dog and have good house manners!

If you can see me, I am still available! No phone calls please, everything is done online and we do need an application submitted and approved before scheduling a visit. We differ from other shelters by offering a one on one experience between you, our staff and the animal or animals you’ve chosen to become a new family member! Please email [email protected].

About the Providence Animal Control Division

The Providence Animal Control Division protects the health and safety of our residents and their pets with progressive leadership and education, and continues to engage the hearts and minds of the community to help all animals.

As of November 2015, the Animal Control Division has adopted a “low risk euthanasia” philosophy of healthy adoptable animals and will continue to improve the live release rate of shelter animals via adoptions, returning strays to their owners, transferring animals to rescues, TNR, programs/services and treating medical cases. We believe that with progressive programs, we can have a more humane City. Through our Gimme Shelter program, PAC is spaying and neutering owned and feral cats for Providence residents. To participate please send a message through our Facebook page at Providence Animal Care Center.
