Gimme’ Shelter – Aries at the Providence Animal Control Center
Hello there! I’m Aries and I came to PAC after I was hit by 2 different cars! Thankfully my internal bleeding wasn’t bad enough to let me go and I am on the road to recovery.
I came from a home who couldn’t provide emergency vet care so PAC took over BUT, there is known info about my history which makes finding me a new home even easier! I have lived with BOTH cats and dogs! I am a bit of an escape artist… hence my accident, so a sturdy fence and some training would be best for me. Maybe a dog friend who knows how to dog would be the best for me too!
I know I lived with cats, not sure how they felt about me or how I felt about them but no known issues there! I do have some stranger danger when it comes to meeting new men but with a slow intro I will be just fine, maybe some slow exposure to new things too so I can be more well rounded 🙂 YAY! I am a baby at 12 months old. Please email about me!
Adopting a pet from PACC:
If you can see me, I am still available! No phone calls please, everything is done online and we do need an application submitted and approved before scheduling a visit. We differ from other shelters by offering a one on one experience between you, our staff and the animal or animals you’ve chosen to become a new family member! Please email [email protected].

About the Providence Animal Control Division
The Providence Animal Control Division protects the health and safety of our residents and their pets with progressive leadership and education. We do this by engaging the hearts and minds of the community to help all animals.
Since 2015, we have adopted a “low risk euthanasia” philosophy of healthy adoptable animals. We will continue to improve the live release rate of shelter animals via adoptions, returning strays to their owners, transferring animals to rescues, TNR, programs/services and treating medical cases. We believe that with progressive programs, we can have a more humane City. Through our Gimme Shelter program, PAC is spaying and neutering owned and feral cats for Providence residents. To participate please send a message through our Facebook page at Providence Animal Care Center.
I’m disabled and don’t work, I don’t have the money needed to get a dog but I would love to have Aries [email protected]
He is a sweetie, isn’t he?
Gregory, there is an email there. If you foster, they pay for the dog food and vet bills! Also the SPCA, and/or Pets In Need can do vet visits at a discount rate. HereS the shelter email. [email protected]
