Businesses show a nation’s gratitude this Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day to current, former and soon to be service members and especially to the families who must sacrifice while their loved ones are deployed.
In an age where it is chic to acknowledge our service men and women a lot of businesses are competing with each other for bragging rights for coming up with the best discounts for our US Military.
Whether it be food or hard goods to online purchases and personal attention, there are an array of benefits awaiting all our personnel. Listed below are some of what Rhode Island businesses are doing to step up to the plate for our service men, women and families. There are a large number of opportunities, as well, in neighboring Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Denny’s – Free “Build Your Own Grand Slam” – 5 am to noon, Monday. Dine-in only.
Friendly’s – Free meal from special menu
Olive Garden – Free entree from a select menu on Monday
Outback Steakhouse – Through Monday, 20% heroes discount for military members, police officers, firefighters and first responders. There’s also a 10% everyday Heroes Discount for servicemen and women, police officers and firefighters.
Texas Roadhouse – Free lunch from special menu 11 am to 4 pm Monday

Check with your local museums, etc. for discounts on admissions for veterans and family members. Such as the Newport Car Museum, offering a $10 discounted admission this Veterans Day.
